Custom Uni-ball Super Ink Pens with Your Logo

uni Super Ink is the pigment-based formula that bonds into paper fibers instead of sitting on the surface, which is what makes it resistant to water, fading and check washing. Nineteen of the pens we print carry it, across gel, rollerball and ballpoint styles. If you are buying pens for a counter, a signing room or anywhere people fill in documents that matter, this is the list to order from.

What uni Super Ink actually does

Most ballpoint and gel inks are dye-based. The dye sits on the paper and dissolves in water, acetone or the household solvents used in check washing, which is why a signature written with an ordinary pen can be lifted and rewritten. Super Ink is pigment-based: the color particles are too large to be absorbed and lock into the paper fibers as the ink dries. Soak the page and the line stays. That is the whole of the claim, and it is the reason the formula shows up in banking, legal and title work rather than in stationery marketing.

The same property gives it the other two benefits: the line does not fade under UV the way a dye line does, and it does not bleed sideways into the fibers, so fine points stay fine.

Three formulas, not one

Standard Super Ink is what most of the range uses, including the 207 gel, the Vision Elite and the Micro Point Roller. Pigment gel or liquid ink, 0.5mm to 1.0mm depending on the style.

Super Ink Plus+ is the denser version on the 207 PLUS+. It dries faster and lays a darker line, and it is the one formula here that behaves on coated and glossy stock, where ordinary gel ink smears. If your forms or handouts are printed on gloss, order this one and skip the testing.

Low-viscosity Super Ink is the Jetstream formula. It keeps the pigment and the fraud resistance but flows like a ballpoint, so it dries almost immediately. This is the version to specify for left-handed writers and for carbonless multi-part forms, where a slow-drying gel smears.

Who specifies it

Banks and credit unions for teller counters and new account desks. Title and escrow companies for closings. Law firms for signature pages. Municipal offices, clerks and registrars for anything that goes into a public record. Insurance and claims teams. In all of these the pen is not a giveaway, it is part of a document control process, and the procurement question is not what it costs but whether the ink holds.

The second group is quieter: any company that hands pens to customers who then sign something. A branded pen on a counter where contracts get signed is doing two jobs at once, and the fraud-resistant version costs a few cents more per unit than the one that is not.

What Super Ink does not do

It is not a security product and we will not sell it as one. It resists solvent-based alteration of the ink itself. It does not stop someone adding a digit in the blank space after a number, it does not stop physical erasure of the paper, and it has no bearing on digital or card fraud. It is not certified to an archival document standard, and no pen manufacturer can promise a document will survive a determined forger. What it does is remove the easiest and most common attack, which is soaking the page.

Also worth knowing before you order: not every pen on this site carries it. The Zento styles use a quick-drying liquid gel, the Combi highlighter combinations use a standard ballpoint, and the mechanical pencils obviously use graphite. If fraud resistance is the reason you are buying, order from this page rather than from the full pens category.
